Report 80% of New Orleans is underwater this morning and from the television pictures it appears that half the Superdome roof where 9000 residents held up is destroyed. By dark yesterday rescue of the real dead and stranded had not begun. They had no idea just how bad a 200 mile wide area had been devastated. It appears now that 100's are dead and many cities like Gulfport, Biloxi, Mississippi are totally destroyed. This is where casinos are as thick as the hair on a dogs back. The Gulf of Mexico gambling casinos destroyed.

If there is anything good about this storm that may be it. Thank God the water rose slow in New Orleans giving the people time to get out. Looting now has become a big problem.

By daylight this morning we had few showers from the storm which is largely to the West.

The press over played the possibility of storm surge in New Orleans and the earth berm holding back Lake Pontchartrain may break, actually it did break in 2 places and the storm surge went east all the way to Mobile Alabama with a 28 foot tall wall of water. They call this our tsunami tidal wave. New Orleans is a deep water port that unloads supertankers.

There is talk now of releasing the oil and gas reserves this country has stored away for a rainy day. When I came home gas prices were at 2.49, the highest ever but this morning they are 2.69 per gallon. We have today continued our bombing in Iraq killing people at random like the storm. We cannot help in rescue because most of those people are in Iraq killing people. We cannot count the dead on the Gulf Coast like we cannot or donot count the dead we kill in Iraq. We were totally unprepared for this hurricane and the people are suffering by the millions. One entire condominium complex near the waterfront collapsed killing all the residence. It is a free-for-all in New Orleans with lawless gangs looting all. The governor of Mississippi has vowed to rebuild the gambling casinos and no doubt with U.S. citizens tax dollars. They surely qualify because they are legally licensed businesses.

New Orleans is known for its annual Mardi Gras festival in February where they all put on

false faces and parade the streets. Mardi Gras madness is celebrated from Pensacola all along Gulf Coast to New Orleans culminating on fat Tuesday in February every year and it began 1703 in Mobile, appears now to be a gay Lesbian show and festival of transvestites.
